Industry News
The EU has officially issued the new Toy Safety Regulation (EU) 2025/2509, which will fully take effect in 2030 and replace the existing directive. The new regulation introduces stricter chemical restrictions — including a ban on intentionally added PFAS substances and tighter limits on endocrine disruptors — and mandates a digital product passport for full traceability. For export-oriented manufacturers, compliance is no longer just a final inspection step, but a systematic capability running through raw material sourcing, production process control and finished product verification. Established manufacturers with decades of export experience have already embedded compliance management into their full production chain. Their ability to ensure manufacturability, regulatory compliance and large-scale production capacity simultaneously has made them reliable partners for brands and importers navigating increasingly stringent global market access requirements.
